The mallard duck is a small bird of approximately 1 kg to 1.5 kg that lives in the wild throughout Spain. Olmeda Origenes’ Mallard duck legs come from ducks from the province of Jaén (Andalusia) and are slaughtered during the hunting season between December and March. They are very tasty animals and their meat is very healthy. They follow a natural diet as they live in the wild near reservoirs, rivers and lakes. The thighs are presented clean and plucked, and are highly appreciated for their balanced and mild flavour, as well as their exquisite presentation, ideal for a portion.
