Mojo Sauce from Canary Islands

If you are looking for Canary Islands’ gastronomic experiences, first thing you must try is our famous “Mojo picón” or mojo sauce. Recently designated as Spanish gastronomic marvel, mojo sauce is a true flavour coming from La Palma Island, one of the paradisiacal islands of the Archipelago.

Mojo Ayanto is made following the traditional recipe of La Palma Island, using special native peppers called “Palmera peppers” and the exclusive volcanic sea salt. Peppers are left to dry under the warm sun of the Atlantic Sea and then moisturized for a minimum of 24 hours. If you want to have a Canarian touch to your dishes, include some of this red mojo sauce in your meat, fish or potato recipes. And even as a spread for your bread!
